A 45-year-old man from Los Angeles suffered life-threatening injuries in a suspected DUI crash involving a parked dump truck in Menifee on Thursday night, June 26, 2025.
According to the Menifee Police Department, the collision occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 74 and Palomar Road.
The man was driving a 2020 Nissan Altima northbound on Palomar Road at an unconfirmed speed when he struck the rear of a dump truck parked along the roadside.
The impact caused significant damage to the Nissan. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived and found the driver with extensive injuries. He was transported to a regional trauma center and was listed in critical condition as of Friday.
Authorities stated that impairment is being considered as a possible factor. The incident remains under investigation.
