[06-25-2024] One Person Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Collision in GarnetOne person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Garnet, Riverside County, on Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred at about 6:40 a.m. on Mountain View Road and 20th Avenue near Desert Hot Springs.

CHP said that a car heading south on Mountain View Road was about to turn onto 20th Avenue when another vehicle behind suddenly tried to pass, resulting in a crash. One car was reportedly flipped over on its roof. No official description of the vehicles involved was provided yet.

Officers then confirmed that one person got injured in the incident. The victim was said to be transported to a local hospital after sustaining major injuries. It is not immediately known if the injured person was a driver or a passenger.

The authorities are still investigating the factors that may have contributed to the accident, and additional information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
