A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fontana late Saturday night, June 21, 2025.
According to the Fontana Police Department, officers responded to a collision at approximately 11:09 p.m. in the area of Ivy Avenue and Palmetto Avenue, just south of Foothill Boulevard.
Investigators determined that the male bicyclist was hit and run over by a vehicle while riding in the area.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not been publicly released.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Gilbert P., was arrested at the scene. According to police, he was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash. The driver was booked on suspicion of DUI, causing bodily injury.
The investigation remains ongoing.
