[06-19-2024] One Person Killed, Another Hospitalized Following Semi-Truck Vs. Semi-Truck Collision Along Highway 395One person was killed, while another was hospitalized following a semi-truck vs. semi-truck collision in Lassen County on Wednesday morning, June 19, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened at about 10:40 a.m. along Highway 395.

CHP said the crash involved a 2014 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by 45-year-old Moren D. and a 2012 Mack semi-truck with a Chip trailer driven by an unnamed 32-year-old man.

While doing so, his truck was suddenly hit from behind by the Mack semi. It is said that the Mack semi failed to slow down in time to avoid colliding with the trailer of the Peterbilt semi in front.

The 32-year-old driver of the Mack semi sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Further details about the identity of the deceased were not provided. Moren D., on the other hand, survived with injuries and was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center to recover.

Additional information was not immediately available. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
