[06-15-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle in Lincoln Heights

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the 5 Freeway in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, early Monday morning, June 15, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. at Main Street.

The southbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed, with the far left lane reopening later, causing significant traffic delays for morning commuters. All lanes were reopened by approximately 7 a.m.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
