[06-15-2025] Two Killed in Suspected DUI Head-On Crash on Green Tree Boulevard in VictorvilleTwo drivers were killed in a suspected DUI head-on collision in Victorville on Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2025.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at approximately 4:53 p.m. near the intersection of Green Tree Boulevard and Hesperia Road.

Investigators determined that a gray Acura sedan was traveling eastbound when a westbound Cadillac Escalade veered into oncoming traffic and struck the Acura head-on.

The driver of the Acura, identified as 25-year-old Maria A. of Apple Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Escalade, 44-year-old Ricardo D. of Adelanto, was critically injured and transported by ground ambulance to Loma Linda University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Victorville Fire Department initially requested a medical helicopter for Dawkins, but he was ultimately transported by ground with CPR in progress. Authorities confirmed that a DUI investigation was initiated as part of the case.

The incident was initially reported as a five-vehicle crash, but only two vehicles sustained major damage. Occupants of a third vehicle were uninjured, and their vehicle had only minor damage.

The investigation is ongoing.
