[06-13-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Another Critically Injured After Being Struck By Suspected DUI Driver in Pico Union

One pedestrian was killed and another critically injured after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in the Pico Union area of Los Angeles overnight on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident was reported at around 1:20 a.m. at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Oak Street. 

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The surviving pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.

Police indicated that the driver appeared to be under the influence and was taken into custody. The driver’s name and potential charges have not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
