According to Watsonville Police, the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on a wide pedestrian path along the Salsipuedes Creek levee.
The man was walking when a male suspect on a black e-bike collided with him and then fled eastbound, leaving the victim on the ground. Witnesses rendered immediate aid and helped guide responding personnel from Watsonville Fire, paramedics, and police to the scene.
