A man was killed and a dog seriously injured in a two-car crash on a Highway 101 offramp near Paul Avenue in San Francisco on Saturday morning, June 7, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:44 a.m. when a white Dodge Charger exited southbound Highway 101 at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle struck a concrete wall and then collided with another car that was stopped at the off-ramp stop sign.
San Francisco Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and extricated the man from the Charger. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at 11:55 a.m.
A seriously injured dog from the crash was taken into the care of San Francisco Animal Control. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role.
