[06-04-2026] San Diego County, CA – E-Bike Rider Seriously Injured in Collision with Vehicle in Chula Vista

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured after colliding with a vehicle while riding an electric bicycle in Chula Vista on Thursday night, June 4, 2026.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to the incident at around 8:29 p.m. near the intersection of Broadway and J Street.

Authorities stated that the e-bike rider, a Chula Vista resident, was traveling through a parking lot before entering the northbound lanes of Broadway, where he was struck by a vehicle. 

First responders found the rider suffering from severe injuries and transported him to a local hospital after initiating lifesaving efforts at the scene.

The Chula Vista Police Department Traffic Bureau is handling the investigation.
