[06-03-2024] Pedestrian Injured Following Pursuit Led To Reckless Two-Vehicle Collision in North HighlandsA pedestrian was injured following a pursuit that led to a reckless two-vehicle collision in Sacramento County on Monday afternoon, June 3, 2024. 

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 5:00 p.m. in North Highlands. 

Authorities stated that a 16-year-old boy was driving a stolen vehicle on a high-speed chase together with his 16-year-old passenger. When the vehicle came across an intersection, it struck another vehicle and a woman who was walking across the street with a child. 

Police said that the woman suffered serious injuries due to the impact of the crash. Her identity remains undisclosed at this time. Details on the condition of the child and the other driver were not immediately available. 

A gun was recovered following the chase. The suspects were arrested and taken into custody. 

No other information was released. Investigations are ongoing.
