[06-02-2026] San Diego County, CA – Big Rig and Passenger Vehicle Collision on Northbound I-15 Near Rainbow Valley Blvd.

A traffic collision involving a big rig and a black Subaru was reported in northern San Diego County on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:11 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 near the Rainbow Valley Boulevard off-ramp.

Both vehicles were moved off the roadway onto the dirt shoulder near the northbound on-ramp shortly after the collision.

Authorities reported that no injuries were immediately known and that the vehicles’ position reduced the likelihood of major traffic disruptions. Several CHP units responded, with one arriving at approximately 8:18 a.m. and additional units en route.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
