A woman was injured after being struck by a car in Central Fresno on Sunday evening, June 2, 2024.
According to the responding officials, the collision happened at about 10:00 p.m. at Blackstone and Garland Avenues just south of Dakota Avenue.
Authorities stated that a woman in her late 20s was leaving the ARCO gas station, walking outside the crosswalk on eastbound Blackstone. At that moment, a car traveling between forty and forty-five miles per hour struck her. She was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the car that struck the victim stayed on the scene and cooperated with the police. Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be the factors in the collision. However, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
No further information was released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors leading up to the collision.
