A 21-year-old female motorcyclist sustained a broken leg after a collision with an SUV in the Valencia Park neighborhood of San Diego on Friday afternoon, May 30, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. when a YZF-R3 motorcycle was exiting a driveway in the 300 block of 54th Street and failed to complete a left turn.
The motorcycle struck the rear of a Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was stopped behind several vehicles at a red light on southbound Imperial Avenue.
The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment. It is currently unknown if the SUV driver was injured in the crash.
Police stated that alcohol was not considered a factor. The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
