A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Ventura on Friday night, May 29, 2026.

According to the Ventura Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Spinnaker Drive.

Authorities stated that the man, in his late 50s, was found in the roadway with major injuries. Despite efforts by officers and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police also noted that drugs or alcohol did not appear to have been factors in the crash.

The Ventura Police Department Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the incident and asks anyone with information to come forward.
