Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on westbound Highway 50 near East Bidwell Street in Folsom on Tuesday afternoon, May 27 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:40 p.m. after a dump truck rear-ended two vehicles.
The crash occurred just west of East Bidwell Street. Another unrelated crash was reported around the same time in the eastbound lanes nearby.
CHP confirmed that two individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Several lanes were temporarily blocked due to the crash, but the roadway was fully reopened by 1:30 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
