A 12-year-old pedestrian suffered major leg injuries after being struck by an EDCO trash truck in the Rainbow Valley, San Diego County, on Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the incident was reported around 7:42 a.m. near 2160 Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
Authorities stated that the child was awake and breathing but sustained an obvious leg injury.
Fire department personnel were dispatched shortly after the incident.
