A female pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision in Riverside late Saturday night, May 25, 2024.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the fatal accident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Roberta Street.
Initial investigations suggested that the pedestrian was in the intersection, for still-unknown reasons, when she was struck by a vehicle going south on Kansas Avenue. The driver of the vehicle involved then drove away from the scene.
The victim’s name, age, and place of origin have yet to be revealed.
RPD hasn’t released an official description of the suspect or the vehicle involved.
Additional information was not available at this time, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary details to determine the cause of the accident and the factors that may have contributed to it.
