[05-24-2024] 23-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle in Pacific BeachA 23-year-old male pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Pacific Beach, San Diego, in the early hours of Friday, May 24, 2024.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 12:40 a.m. around the 1500 block of Grand Avenue.

SDPD said that the victim was crossing the road northbound at the 1400 block of Grand Avenue and Haines Street when a westbound 2019 Toyota Corolla hit him. It is said that the pedestrian ran into the path of the vehicle, resulting in the collision.

The pedestrian suffered a large laceration on his right groin area and was taken to a local hospital for further medical care. At this time, neither his name nor his place of origin have been disclosed.

There is no word yet if the Toyota diver, only identified as a 26-year-old man, was injured or not.
