Two people were seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on State Route 98 and Barbara Worth Road in Imperial County on Friday evening, May 23, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. and involved two cars, one of which overturned as a result of the crash.
Emergency responders confirmed that both individuals sustained major injuries. One of the victims was airlifted by Mercy Air to Desert Regional Medical Center, while the other was transported by ground ambulance to El Centro Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by CHP.
