A possible injury was reported following a multi-vehicle crash, possibly involving a big rig, on Citrus Heights on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident happened at around 8:03 a.m. along westbound Interstate 80, just south of Antelope Road.
Initial reports suggested that the traffic collision involved multiple vehicles and possibly a big rig. The incident was said to have resulted in a possible minor injury. However, the total number of people involved was not disclosed.
The aftermath of the collision reportedly blocked the No. 3, 4, and 5 lanes of westbound Interstate 80 for only a few minutes. CHP reported that by 8:23 a.m., all lanes were back to normal.
