According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident happened at around 8:03 a.m. along westbound Interstate 80, just south of Antelope Road.

Initial reports suggested that the traffic collision involved multiple vehicles and possibly a big rig. The incident was said to have resulted in a possible minor injury. However, the total number of people involved was not disclosed.

The aftermath of the collision reportedly blocked the No. 3, 4, and 5 lanes of westbound Interstate 80 for only a few minutes. CHP reported that by 8:23 a.m., all lanes were back to normal.

No further details were immediately provided, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary information to determine the cause of the accident along with the factors that may have contributed to it.

The investigation is underway.
