A crash involving at least two vehicles was reported on eastbound Highway 50 in Folsom on Wednesday afternoon, May 21, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. east of Folsom Boulevard.
The crash blocked at least one lane of the highway, leading to significant traffic buildup in the area.
A Caltrans traffic camera captured congestion forming along the eastbound lanes. Although it is unclear if anyone was injured, CHP logs indicated that emergency medical services were requested at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
