A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the El Cerrito area near Corona early Monday morning, May 19, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 2:48 a.m. at the intersection of Ontario and Consul avenues.
The pedestrian was hit by a white Toyota Yaris and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office was called to the location at 3:33 a.m. in response to the fatal crash.
Authorities closed Ontario Avenue in both directions near the crash site while the investigation was underway.
