[05-18-2025] Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash Sends Car Onto Sidewalk on Highway 74 in MenifeeA pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle pushed onto the sidewalk during a two-vehicle crash on Highway 74 in Menifee on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025.

According to the Menifee Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 74 and Third Street. 

Authorities said a Ford Windstar was traveling eastbound and attempted to make a left turn onto Third Street when it collided with a westbound Nissan Altima traveling at an unconfirmed speed.

The impact forced the Nissan onto the sidewalk, where it struck a pedestrian. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian with major head trauma. The victim was transported to a regional trauma center and was listed in stable condition Monday morning. Surgery was pending.

The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was treated and released. The driver of the Ford was uninjured and cooperated with investigators. 

No arrests were made at the scene. Police stated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision. 

The incident remains under investigation.
