[05-18-2024] Riverside County, CA – Three People Injured Following Single-Vehicle Crash in Winchester

[05-18-2024] Three People Injured Following Single-Vehicle Crash in WinchesterThree people were injured following a single-vehicle crash in Winchester, Riverside County, on Saturday evening, May 18, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on southbound Elliot Road just south of Keller Road.

Authorities stated that a 2008 Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on Elliot Road at around 25 mph. The 17-year-old driver steered the Ford Ranger to the right on a dirt shoulder, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. As a result, the Ford spun out, fishtailed, and rolled over.

Three juveniles, who were traveling in the truck bed, were ejected onto the dirt shoulder area. A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl sustained major injuries and were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center. A third boy suffered minor injuries due to the crash.

Two additional occupants were reportedly traveling with seatbelts in the truck’s cab, but it is unclear if they sustained any injuries.

Alcohol and drugs weren’t considered contributing factors in the incident. CHP reminded the public that it is illegal and exceedingly risky to ride in a pickup bed.

No further information was released. The investigation is ongoing.

  • Contact your insurance company and find a personal injury lawyer for legal advice.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
