INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[05-16-2025] San Bernardino County, CA – Woman Injured After Two-Vehicle DUI Crash on Cobalt Road in Victorville

A woman was hospitalized and a man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a two-vehicle crash in Victorville on Friday night, May 16, 2025.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:49 p.m. near the intersection of Cobalt Road and Luna Road. 

The collision involved a silver sedan, reportedly driven by the suspect, and a dark red sedan that came to rest on the sidewalk.

The red vehicle sustained major rear-end damage. The female occupant became trapped and had to be freed by emergency crews who broke open the door. She was later seen wearing a neck brace and was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

The driver of the silver sedan was identified as 23-year-old Richard A. of Victorville. Witnesses at the scene reported that the suspect appeared to be under the influence and attempted to shift blame for the crash.

The suspect was arrested at 10:16 p.m. and booked into the High Desert Detention Center at 1:39 a.m. on May 17. He faces two felony DUI charges: VC23153(a) and VC23153(b). His bail was set at $250,000.

The incident remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department.
