Two people were airlifted to the hospital with major injuries after being ejected from a four-wheeler that overturned in Merced County on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near Volta Road and Interstate 5, just west of Los Banos.
Officers reported that two of the three individuals riding in a Razer off-road vehicle were ejected during the rollover.
CHP stated that the two severely injured riders were not wearing helmets or seatbelts at the time of the crash. Both were flown to a hospital by helicopter for treatment. The third rider sustained only minor injuries.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
