A 40-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Garden Grove on early Sunday morning, May 12, 2024.
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the crash happened around 2:00 a.m. in the 11800 block of Magnolia Street.
Authorities stated that a woman was hit by the car and trapped by it inside her home. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, identified as a 35-year-old Riverside man, tried to run and fled the scene, but he was then captured by the police in a nearby neighborhood.
Police said that alcohol and drugs are believed to be a factor in the collision.
No further information was released, and the authorities are gathering all necessary information to determine the cause of the crash.
