Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Creston, San Luis Obispo County, on Sunday morning, May 11, 2025.
According to CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo, emergency crews responded to the crash just before 10:00 a.m. on State Route 41 near La Panza Road.
The incident was initially classified as a Level One Mass Casualty Incident (MCI), which involves five to ten individuals under the San Luis Obispo County MCI Plan.
Authorities reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash: a tan Chevrolet truck, a gray Ford minivan, and a dark gray SUV. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that all vehicles had their airbags deployed.
After assessing the scene, first responders determined that only two individuals required medical assistance. One patient was airlifted by Mercy Air 3, and the second was transported by ambulance. The remaining individuals involved were evaluated and released onsite.
No fatalities were reported, and the CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
