A driver was injured following a vehicle vs. big rig collision in Bellflower on Friday morning, May 10, 2024.
According to the responding officials, the collision happened on the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway, near the 605 Freeway in southern Los Angeles County.
Authorities stated that the black pickup truck collided with a big rig, causing it to be pinned underneath the rear of the trailer. After the collision, both cars burst into flames, and as soon as firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire was knocked down.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries despite the severity of the accident. However, the extent of the injuries remains unknown. Details about the driver’s condition were not immediately disclosed.
The eastbound lanes are temporarily closed due to the ongoing investigation.
