[05-09-2026] Riverside County, CA – Two Injured After Vehicle Falls Down Embankment in Hemet Area

Two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash in the Hemet area on Saturday night, May 9, 2026.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident was reported around 9:10 p.m. in the 28000 block of Vista Del Valle in an unincorporated area.

Authorities stated that the vehicle traveled approximately 50 feet down an embankment. One of the two adult occupants became trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication by emergency crews.

Both occupants were transported to hospitals with injuries that were not immediately disclosed. One patient was taken by ground ambulance, while the other was airlifted by helicopter.

Officials have not released the identities of those involved.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
