![[05-09-2025] One Seriously Injured in Collision Involving Semi-Truck at North Rancho Drive and David Road in Bakersfield](https://ak1.to//3l4JH.webp)
At least one person suffered major injuries in a crash involving a semi-truck and another vehicle in Bakersfield early Friday morning, May 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 6:00 a.m. at North Rancho Drive and David Road.
Emergency responders found at least two individuals pinned inside damaged vehicles. A medical helicopter was called to assist in transporting the injured.
Officials said the cab of the semi-truck overturned and spilled a load of plastic bins onto the roadway.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.
