A woman was killed following a two-vehicle crash in unincorporated Alameda County on Thursday night, May 7, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Vasco Road and Old Vasco Road.
Authorities reported that a Chevrolet Cobalt traveling northbound on Vasco Road collided with a GMC Canyon pickup truck that was making a left turn from Old Vasco Road onto southbound Vasco Road.
The woman driving the Chevrolet sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
Officials stated that the occupants of the pickup truck were also transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
