Four people were injured following a serious two-vehicle crash in Cathedral City early Wednesday morning, May 6, 2026.
According to Cathedral City Police, the collision occurred shortly before 4 a.m. near the intersection of Date Palm Drive and Ramon Road.
Witnesses observed two vehicles traveling westbound on Ramon Road at high speeds before a BMW collided with a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck. Investigators stated that the pickup truck turned into the path of the BMW, resulting in the crash.
One occupant of the pickup truck and three occupants of the BMW were transported to hospitals for treatment. Two individuals sustained serious injuries, while two others suffered concussions.
Police said that the driver of the BMW was not wearing a seatbelt and was found in the back seat of the vehicle after the collision.
