An overturned truck blocked all southbound lanes on Highway 99 near County Line Road in Delano on Monday morning, May 5, 2025.
According to reports, the crash occurred shortly before 4:00 a.m. when the truck swerved to avoid a speeding vehicle, leading to a collision with another vehicle that struck the driver’s side. The impact caused the truck to overturn.
Authorities said the Bakersfield Fire Department is diverting traffic onto County Line Road as crews continue to clear the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
