[05-01-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – 45-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Downtown LA After Traffic Incident

A 45-year-old man was found dead following a traffic-related incident in downtown Los Angeles early Friday morning, May 1, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded around 3:06 a.m. to reports of a collision. Upon arrival, they found the man unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities could not immediately confirm whether the man was struck by a vehicle or if a vehicle may have fallen on him.

Video from the scene showed law enforcement securing the area with yellow tape, and a woman could be heard screaming in the background. 

The investigation is ongoing.
