A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Bear Valley Road in Victorville on Thursday evening, April 30, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident was reported at around 7:10 p.m. in the 11790 block of Bear Valley Road, just west of 2nd Avenue, near a McDonald’s.
The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not immediately specified. A helicopter was later dispatched to the Desert Valley Hospital helipad for a potential airlift to a trauma center.
The vehicle involved, a black four-door Mazda sedan, was found at the scene with significant front-end damage, including a shattered passenger-side windshield, damaged bumper, and headlight.
The driver and occupants remained at the scene. Debris believed to be from the pedestrian, including a boot and a hat, was found in the roadway.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional details regarding the pedestrian’s condition have not been released.
