Two people were injured after a car, described as “really moving,” caused a chaotic crash at the intersection of N. Main Street and Parkside in Walnut Creek on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred around 11:54 a.m. when a red car with Arizona plates veered out of control while traveling south on N. Main Street.
The car struck at least two other vehicles, launched off a landscaping berm, and finally crashed in the middle of a Chevron gas station under renovation.
The driver of the red car and one other person were injured, though neither sustained major injuries. However, the driver of the red car attempted to escape paramedics with a protective neck collar in place and engaged in a struggle with police officers at the scene. He was eventually restrained, handcuffed, and taken to a hospital for precautionary examination.
Police are investigating the incident.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
