![[04-29-2025] Man Killed After Crashing Into Construction Vehicle on Highway 99 Near Bardsley Avenue](https://ak1.to//^n2F.webp)
A man was killed after crashing into a construction vehicle on Highway 99 north of Bardsley Avenue in Tulare on Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. while crews were working in an active construction zone.
Authorities said the man was driving a Nissan passenger minivan southbound in the number two lane when he collided with the right rear of a construction vehicle ahead, which was operated by a Caltrans subcontractor.
The man driving the Nissan was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The construction worker sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
