[04-26-2025] Six Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Crash at Long Beach Boulevard and Ocean BoulevardSix people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Ocean Boulevard in downtown Long Beach early Saturday morning, April 26, 2025.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the collision occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. near the Long Beach Terrace Theater. 

A preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle carrying five women was traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard and turning left onto Long Beach Boulevard when it was struck by another car driven by a single male driver.

The impact sent the Kia Rio crashing into a traffic pole in the center median, while the Honda Civic Sport sedan came to rest on a sidewalk across the street.

Six people were transported to the hospital with varying injuries. At least one woman was reported to be in critical but stable condition. 

Police stated that speed and impaired driving are considered possible factors. The investigation is ongoing.
