[04-25-2026] San Diego County, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-8 East of Waring Rd.

A motorcyclist was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 8 near the College Area in San Diego on Saturday morning, April 25, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 9:35 a.m. just east of Waring Road.

Authorities reported that a motorcycle rider was down in the fast lane following the crash, which involved multiple vehicles, though the exact number has not been confirmed. 

Several vehicles were stopped in the roadway, and bystanders were seen surrounding the rider. A second motorcyclist was also reported to be stopped nearby.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the extent of the rider’s injuries has not been disclosed.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
