A male pedestrian was fatally struck by a 51-year-old hit-and-run driver in Santa Ana early Thursday morning, April 25, 2024.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the fatal incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. between 1st Street and Sullivan Street.
First responders found an unconscious man lying on the road and declared him dead at the scene.
Detectives located a 51-year-old named Luis Duarte I. in Garden Grove the next day. He was arrested on felony hit-and-run charges, while his car was confiscated as evidence.
