![[04-15-2025] Box Truck Driver Airlifted After Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Near Bear Valley Road in Victorville](https://ak1.to//86KIL.webp)
A box truck driver was seriously injured and airlifted to a trauma center following a multi-vehicle crash on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near Bear Valley Road in Victorville on Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 2:59 p.m. and involved a white box truck from “Currency Ambitious Trucking,” a Schneider semi-truck, and a white Chevy pickup.
The box truck sustained severe cab damage, trapping the male driver inside. Victorville Fire Department crews conducted a complex extrication and freed the driver at around 3:50 p.m. He was classified as an “immediate” patient and airlifted from the freeway by Mercy Air.
The white Chevy pickup was found in a drainage ditch along the freeway shoulder with significant rear-end and windshield damage. The driver of that vehicle was treated as a “delayed” patient. The Schneider semi-truck driver was not injured, although the trailer was damaged at the rear.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
