[04-13-2024] Kern County, CA – 21-Year-Old Passenger Killed, Several Others Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash Along Highway 65

A 21-year-old passenger was killed, and several others injured after a multi-vehicle crash east of Delano late Saturday afternoon, April 13, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred at about 4:59 p.m. along Highway 65, south of Highway 155.

Reports indicate that a Ford driver lost control and veered into the opposite lane, hitting a Toyota and a Honda.

One passenger inside the Toyota was declared dead, while other occupants suffered moderate to major injuries.

All the victims were transported to nearby hospitals. The number of patients has yet to be confirmed.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
