A woman was killed in a crash involving a big rig and a passenger vehicle on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near Haugan-Lehmann Way in Cabazon, Riverside County, early Thursday morning, April 10, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after midnight when a gray Volkswagen Jetta was struck by a big rig under circumstances that remain under investigation.
The driver of the Jetta, a woman from Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
No other injuries were reported. The CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
