A 46-year-old Riverside man was killed and a 32-year-old Norco man was arrested following a two-vehicle crash in Riverside on Thursday night, April 10, 2025.
According to the Riverside Police Department, at around 9:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Washington Street and Gladstone Boulevard after receiving multiple reports of an injury collision.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect had been driving a Chevrolet truck towing a horse trailer and was attempting to turn left onto Washington Street when a southbound Volkswagen sedan collided with the truck and trailer. The Volkswagen sustained significant damage in the crash.
The driver of the Volkswagen suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was arrested for driving under the influence.
Police believe impairment and speed were contributing factors in the collision. The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
