[04-09-2025] Two Injured, DUI Arrest Made After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Ramon Road in Cathedral CityTwo people were injured and a man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash in Cathedral City on Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2025.

According to the Cathedral City Police Department, at around 1:50 p.m., officers were dispatched near the intersection of Avenida Los Ninos and Ramon Road after receiving reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

A Honda CRV traveling southbound on Avenida Los Ninos reportedly struck two parked vehicles before continuing south to Ramon Road, where it turned westbound and collided with a Nissan Quest minivan. The Honda came to rest on the north side of Ramon Road.

Two occupants of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda, a 60-year-old man from Hemet, was also transported to the hospital with a complaint of pain and was found to show signs of alcohol intoxication. He was arrested for driving under the influence and will be booked at the Indio jail.

The CCPD is continuing to investigate the crash.
