A seven-vehicle crash occurred on southbound Highway 101 in San Mateo on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:45 a.m. near Poplar Avenue.
One driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. CHP officials reminded drivers to double-check for safety when changing lanes from a complete stop and to always yield the right-of-way to those already in their lanes.
