A passenger was killed following a suspected DUI-related car crash on Interstate 805 in San Diego late Sunday night, April 06, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:40 p.m. A 22-year-old woman driving a white Tesla Model 3 reportedly veered off the northbound I-805 to State Route 54 and hit a guardrail.
A male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. She was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The CHP is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact their San Diego-area office at 858-293-6000.
