Two people were injured, one critically, after a single-vehicle crash on Alderpoint Road near Quarry Road in Humboldt County on Sunday afternoon, April 6, 2025.
According to the Humboldt Communications Center, at around 2:12 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Alderpoint Road, east of Quarry Road, following reports of a vehicle crash.
A Toyota traveling westbound on Alderpoint Road had reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, identified as 40-year-old Kevin K., sustained major injuries. The passenger, 23-year-old Joanna L., suffered moderate injuries.
Both individuals were transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Redding for medical treatment.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol Garberville Area Office.
